Research Seminars are hosted by visiting economists who present their work and lead discussions. The topics presented cover various areas of microeconomics, macroeconomics and applied econometrics. Seminars take place during semester.
Public Lectures are hosted by distinguished speakers who present on popular topics in economic research and policy making. Each event provides an opportunity for students and researchers to enhance their understanding of economics.
The Internal Lunch Seminar is an informal forum where local researchers present their work in progress and receive criticism and feedback from colleagues. Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch box or sandwich to the seminar. Please drop us an e-mail if you wish to present your work.
Economics seminars have been organized by the Faculty of Economics and Administration since 1997. The Masaryk University Economic Seminars (MUES) series began in 2014 and builds on this tradition. We believe that seminar discussions are a great way to improve research outputs and to stimulate academic life in Brno.
