Masaryk University Economic Seminars (MUES) offer a valuable platform for researchers, students, and other attendees to present and discuss economic research. Please refer to the calendar for a complete list of upcoming events, or sign up for our newsletter to receive invitations to future seminars.
Research Seminars are led by visiting economists who present their research and lead discussions on a range of topics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and applied econometrics. These seminars take place during the semester.
Public Lectures are presented by distinguished speakers who discuss popular topics in economic research and policy-making. These events offer an excellent opportunity for students and researchers to gain a deeper understanding of economics.
The Internal Lunch Seminar provides an informal forum for local researchers to present their work in progress and receive feedback and criticism from colleagues. Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch boxes or sandwiches. If you are interested in presenting your work, please drop us an email.
The Faculty of Economics and Administration has been organizing economics seminars since 1997, and the Masaryk University Economic Seminars (MUES) series builds on this tradition, having been established in 2014. We believe that seminar discussions are a great way to improve research outcomes and stimulate academic life in Brno.
Join us at our next seminar and be a part of these engaging discussions!
